Several weeks ago we launched our “What does your Grabbie look like?” Mascot Competition over on Crowdspring. Last week, it came to a close…and after much head scratching, and a lot of really awesome help from our loyal facebook fans – we’ve reached a decision. Here are the four winning entries each awarded $200 USD for their submissions:
1: Most liked on the GrabOne Facebook page…
This cute Grabbie took out the top spot on Facebook with 205 Likes (not too mention 50 very helpful comments). Was it his rotund good looks and cheeky smile that wooed our lovely Facebook followers? Possibly…. but either way this little guy has been a favourite no matter where he pops up. Designed by Crowdspring Creative, abu_hilmi.
2: Most liked by GrabOne staff…
They might be a little leftfield but this crazy little duo came through in the end. It was a toughie, however, and it definately polarised both our office and our facebook page! We’re not too sure what it is about these two, though, but the more you look at them the more you like them. A basic yet unique take on what our Grabbbie Mascot might look like. Designed by Crowdspring Creative KiKK.
3: Most likely to run for Prime Minister…
There were some big contenders for this category but just like Nike the Goddess of Victory, this winged little Grabbie came out on top due to it’s ability to lead not so much with an iron fist but a rubber hand on a stick! It attracted about 129 likes from fans including some great comments from awesome people like Abbie, Joy and Judy! John Key, if you’re reading….be afraid. Very afraid! Designed by Crowdspring Creative BreedBird.
4:Most likely to win a dance off…
Sure, he mightn’t be John Travolta, but we reckon this bouncy Grabbie Mascot would certainly have the energy to cut some shapes with the best of them. Probably preferring the robot or moonwalk over the waltz though, with a few energetic leaps in between. This one’s the second winning entry for the very talented CrowdSpring Creative abu_hilmi.
Now after all that it’s not over yet! These little fellas need names! Why not leave a comment and…

#4’s still my favourite!
1. Gobby; short for Gobinzo the Great
2. Grizo and Grinl: the grabby duo
3. Graboncha or Grabonka (it needs a little dragon-esque twist I think): who eats (snatches) deals up
4. Perla (yeah a little break from the Gs, but doesn’t it look like a cute little Perla?) or Pearlio, perhaps
Personally I like the 3rd one the best (Graboncha), she’s so exited to get that deal! You can’t help but smile about her enthusiasm!
Thanks all for your comments! We’ll be getting in touch with the winners shortly.
