While doing the morning check on Grab One, as you do… I came across a cruising Holiday deal that sounded too good to be true!
After talking with my Mother, who wanted to do a holiday with all the grandchildren, it was decided that I would go with them as Dad didn’t want to (ohhh the trauma lol).
So we promptly booked as we didn’t want to miss out, we were sailing in only three weeks.. eek!
While I was excited and the 7 year old was excited, the teens were apprehensive ‘what if the boat sinks?… what if I fall overboard?… we spent most of the following three weeks reassuring them that they would be okay. While at the same time thinking, the break from your phones will be fantastic!
Cruise Republic were awesome, they accommodated us in every way. We requested rooms close to each other which they promptly did even though we had purchased the last of them so were scattered all over the ship.
Once on board, the 12 and 14 year old girls were eager to get involved with the Teen Headquarters, the 7 year old was off to his Shark Shack which left the 17 year old boy moping around… “I’m not joining a teen club… well then, you can hang out with me and Nana” after two days of that, he went off to the Teen HQ where they loved it, we only saw them for dinner (omg, and that’s another story… the restaurant is 5-star!) and shore days.
At the end of the cruise, no one wanted to depart, there were tears of goodbyes. Will definitely be looking for another… Cruise Republic made it so easy!
