Nothing says “You’re a bit of alright” like being taken out for dinner.
It’s funny how relationships start. Somewhere along the way, someone catches someone else’s eye, or pokes someone on facebook, and from there the romance blooms.
And while it’s blooming, silly couples rituals form – like buying scratchies at the end of each trip to the supermarket, cooking dinner together once a week, or enjoying a monthly trip to the movies.
A quick GrabOne office poll noted that there are some folks here whose couples rituals include everything from adventure running to long walks on the beach around the North Shore.
And then there are the rituals where ladies stand on sidelines every week, in a particular coloured top and in all kinds of weather, to watch their blokes play sport. Or men who stand awkwardly outside fashion stores wondering how much of beating the credit card is taking this month. That MUST be love.
Eat, drink be merry!
But there is one ritual most couples have in common – everyone likes to feast on a fine meal. And I think we can all agree that a good meal out at an equally fine restaurant (where someone else is cooking!) is even better.
There is something so universally satisfying about putting on our glad rags, polishing shoes, applying lippy, gelling the hair and going to a great restaurant to feast on delicious food.
Perhaps it’s because you and your other half know someone else will be doing the dishes afterwards. You have to admit, having the night off from doing the dishes is pretty awesome.
So it just makes sense to escape from the sink, soap and scourer and indulge in our Delectable Dining Deals for your next restaurant visit.
Yes i would like a shout from grabone to take us out for dinner 1st reply.
