It’s really easy to make mistakes. We all make them. And a lot of the time the ways to avoid common mix ups are pretty simple. It helps when you know what not to do so we don’t do them. So just like you check you’re putting your spiffy fluro doc martens on the right feet in the morning, here’s your top 5 things  to check before you go ahead in Grabbing your next GrabOne Voucher.

5. Don’t think we’ll shift the expiry date because you can’t make it.

• A lot of our deals are only valid for a certain period of time. That’s a time agreed upon by the businesses who are running the deals. So if you’ve just bought a voucher for 2-months but you’re off on a 6-month field trip to Siberia tomorrow – you’re not going to get it refunded.

4. Don’t buy a deal for one place if you can’t get there.

• Unless it’s a deal anyone can purchase, it pays to double check that you’re in the right region before you click “BUY”.  Because if you’ve got a voucher for Ukulele lessons in Wellington but you live in Whangarei, it’s probably going to be a long walk or an expensive plane trip if you want to make it!

3. Don’t assume a place will be open when you want it.

• As much as you want to take Great Aunt Tabitha out for her birthday Lunch, it might pay just to check that the business offering the deal is actually open.
  

2. Don’t skip over the details of your credit card payment.

• You’d be surprised at how easy this is to do. But as your bank statement will prove, two vouchers can be quite different from twenty. This is pretty important – it could be the difference between shouting yourself and your BFF to some mooncakes to shouting the whole darn office.
• Also, don’t put spaces in between the numbers on your credit card – This happens quite a lot and is one of the main reasons why some people find they can’t buy a voucher.

1. If it’s something you’d normally need to book for, don’t forget to book!

• We always make sure there’s enough space for Grabbies when running a particular deal – but once the deal is over it’s up to you and the business to arrange a time to get in. So the sooner you book your massage / haircut / table / canine hypnotherapy session the better to ensure that you don’t miss out.
